- Pictures From My "Path Of Tea"
Chadō, "the way of tea," is a multifaceted art form, the study of which is a lifelong journey.
I have been studying Japanese tea art, Chadō, since autumn 2016. In Finland, the study of this tradition, often known as a tea ceremony, involves multifaceted practice, where each participant, including the tea preparer and guests, has their own carefully defined roles and etiquette. However, at the core of it all is the original intention - to offer a bowl of tasty tea.
As part of my tea practice, I built a chashitsu (tea room) into my home in the summer of 2023. The size of the space is the traditional four and a half tatami (yojohan).

Japanese tea has been, in many ways, like a path back home to me. In Chadō, many ways of doing things come together, which have been a part of my life for all these years.
